If i download an ed2k link from one of the REL threads and i disconnect from emule, will the download stop until i turn emule back on?

Yes, eMule must be running. Otherwise you can't down- or upload files.

Yes emule needs to be on/connected/running in order to download. The files do NOT download "in the cloud" to be recovered later. They go directly to your computer. If emule is not on then nothing goes to your computer. Peer-to-peer sharing relies on the source and the destination to be online and using their emule at the same time.

What's the go with this

I download a direct download on this forum (through things like pixeldrain or mega) and it takes me not even 5 minutes

I download through emule and it takes me over half a day

I think for now i'm gonna not use emule unless i'm super desperate
