The pictures in a post are loaded from external servers. They are NOT counted against the bandwidth limit. NOT NOT NOT. Embedded pics are NOT downloaded from FLM's server.

Avatars are a possibility. Most of the user-uploaded avatars are pretty small, though. A few avatars (animated gifs) in the FLM-provided gallery are bigger than is allowed for user uploaded avatars. The flash animations are big too. All of these normally get saved in the browser cache, but if you clear your cache or don't visit for a while and get dumped from the cache they get reloaded again.

The flash has been moved to another server, so that will help. This month we will probably use about 6.5 GB. Since the past two months we have been using 1 GB roughly every 5 days, and we now have 10GB per month, it's not something to worry too much about right now.

Can you view the page source and see how it compares with the source of other forums? Our pages seem rather top-heavy. :( (right click> view page source; also available from the view menu).

My network capture log shows 167 packets for our index page, as compared to 24 for drunkendonkey.net and 14 for emuleplus.info.
