I was thinking sorta the same. She is just staring at the water in that scene looking forward to cleaning off all her filth. I think she just recovered from being ill. (My memory of the entire plot is vague.)

One of the other girls has just commented about the fact she's started to get breasts, so she's looking down at them proudly. There is another scene of her getting in a bath just after she arrives.

I criticized that scene a lot because it was too far away, but then you can understand that it was necessary due to her puberty, it would not have been easy to have to wait 6 months to +1 year for her to be able to show her growth stage.

To be honest, they look quite big to have just started to grow, it's a pity they couldn't have got an actress at a more suitable growth stage.
