There was a HQ trailer of this film online 1-2 years ago. Has there not been a higher quality release than this DVD since? I know Ghost and others have sites they can search - can you have a look around please!

Unfortunately that version had several minutes censored. If the Chinese government would provide the restored film uncut for international audiences...

I'd still like to see the HD version - and then people could edit in the cut scenes. That would be good - just to see the film in better quality. Anyone know where we can get the HD version?

Is this theoretical version any different in reality than the version you posted about 4 years ago?

There was a internet trailer that appeared a few years back where it looked like it was taken from a new beautiful HD remaster, great detail, better colours and contrast. That TV one looked like a bad 90s print, like what we'd see used for old prints, and that TV version had horrible text logos in every corner.

No.

Now you gave us a download link and asking again?
What's wrong with you?

You can download it for free, it just takes a bit longer.

BTW: It's a bad upscale from a tv broadcast with hardburned chinese subtitles and big watermarks.

I found the HQ trailer again, 70mb. Link below
Light levels seem a tad low. But you can tell the picture is a proper HD source, not the bad upscale that appeared on Chinese TV covered in giant logos!

Such a shame it doesn't seem to have been made available!
