By that do you mean that piracy is not common? Or that the government and copyright lawyers do not focus on it? I might be overly serious here and I am not trying to terrify you, but I do want you to enjoy your time here at FLM and not find yourself hounded offline by lawyers looking to sue you out of existence! Despite my warnings I have stopped using a VPN and tell myself that I am a very low-priority target; that lawyers can not get blood from a turnip; if the authorities lock me up then I will at least be done paying taxes.

What I mean is that law doesn;t care about piracy in my country, which is Serbia. We watche Jurrasic Park on national television BEFORE it hit theater sin the rest of the world
Although foreign companies can hire lawyers to go for corporations that use their IP, normal, everyday citizen that downloads movies and TV shows, for now, nobody cares. I am not saying situation will not change, but I know that the same is in Romania, for example, and they are part of EU. In GFermany, for example, you shuldn't download anything as fines are super high - but what we do is fill extern HDD with movies and TV shows and send them to our friends in Germany once every six months
VPN doesn;t protect you completly, just from first "leyer" of people who would like to know who you are, authorities can find you, no problems - they just need to go to your internet provider. So everyone should be aware, what ever you download, it is recorded somewhere. So be smart, especially if you liv ein a western country who are more serious about this.

For example, I Was speaking with my foreign friends 20 years ago, and we talked what games we own, eahc owned several games - I owned like 200 because we only used here cracked games. Some of those were my all time favorite, like Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age, Starcraft, Warcraft, Witcher - so when I stabilized financialy, I actually went and bought all those games, even though I still have them on my PC, to express my graditude to those who made them. Or I buy their new game even thougjh I don;t intend to play - to support for great things they did

If and when I catch a wiff that law situation in my country is changing, I will stop downloading. Untill than, I am dedicated to make a base of all the movies and TV shows I liked trough my childhood, in HD

My job allows me to watch TV series while I work, so I watch a lot. this is just a small part of what I have collected, and if someone from people involved here wants somethin, I will be glad to share, if there is some quick or direct way (I have a strong input output when internet is in question)

As a special disclaimer: I am not saying people should pirate movies and TV shows. I am doing it, but I am in special position regarding laws of my own country. This could change. Also there are moral issues, for some people, as it is stealing of intelectual property. for me it is not an issue, as I am not making profit, I am sharing it for free, and it is not a person (in my opinion) that will loose money, but corporation.

As a special thank you for all involved here, if you have some old, hard to find movie, I probably have it, and (if someone explaines how), I can share it, just write down what you want. Goes for almost all languages, not just english

omgomg - I had already forgotten that you were the one who composed the excellent "Setup aMule native under Linux" tutorial. I have made it a Sticky so that it stays on the top of the eMule Help subforum for easy discovery by others.

ok, first, I don't have "DHCP Reservation" mentioned when in cmd typed what you wrote. That means I have to go harder route, ok:
I open the router setup (like previous time, and it is Ubee WI-FI modem).
Under LAN I do have DHCP, nut onlu things there are:
DHCP Start IP ... (I can input numbers here, and it already has 192 etc - I have option to change last field (two digits)
DHCP End IP ... (same like above)
Lease Time (has value of 3600 which I can change)

But, I do have "static lease" next group of options, and it says "this page allows configuration of DHCP static leade" - so I am guessin that is it
It also says "IP Lease Range: 192.168.0.11 -- 192.168.0.254"
now I have a tabl with 8 lines, each the same, I can imput "MAC address" (six fields with two digits each) and IP Address (one field, has 0.0.0.0. in it, I am guessing example of what to write), AND checkbox labeled "clear" (I have no ide what is that) - each of those 8 lines has those three things I can imput.

I am little hesitant to change anything, as I am not sure which one of these is option for static IP

Maybe "Start: 192.168.1.2
End: 192.168.1.240
Netmask: 255.255.255.0"

Is in DHCP options

Lease Time" but than what is the Lease Time and should I leave it?
Also, the third group of digits in example you have given me is "1" 192.168.1.2
for me it is "0" and I can't change that

Why don't you google for your router? Search for your router name and "port forwarding". Just a hint...

What is under "File Sharing" on the left menu? Sounds interesting.
I can't help you much, because I don't know your router.

Good that you didn't change anything before sharing more information to find the right way. So we don't have to clean up the messy.

Yeah the 'static lease' is the same as DHCP Reservation. So we can focus on static lease and leave DHCP setting alone.
You need to use 'ipconfig /all' on the computer you want to use for eMule and locate the mac address where your computer use network form (wired or wireless) to reach the router / internet.

Mac address should look like 00:1a:2b:3c:4d:e5

You pick whatever between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.254 (Only one IP address) - because it is your network zone as your router default come with.
Hit the apply and dis+re-connect the computer from router or reboot computer to check if your computer gets the IP address you want.
If it works then the computer will always get the IP address from the router as you configured static lease.

You don't have to censor private IP address - because it is only routable on your local network and unroutable for internet.
Of course it is understandable if we talk about network in business.

Just you know I will check this thread very late tomorrow.

did everything, still works (a note to future people who read this, for me, MAC address in cmd the name of the MAC address is "Physical Address"
I also had a lot of different options, wireless, bluetooth etc, and ethernet to ethernet - I picked that one, looked like most logical one, even though I didn;t know for sure)

This little journy of mine can be great help for others, as I have zero experience in both this and softwqare in global, and just by following instructions and asking if step was understood, I (believe) that I am at the door of the high flow.

It is to ensure NAT/firewall settings always point to his computer, otherwise he will get LowID if his computer gets/uses different IP.

Yeah, simply "opening" the ports is not enough if you have several computers, smartphones and IoT devices in your home network. The router must forward the data packets to the correct device... @ghost, aren't you using VPN anyway!?

It's kind of ironic that "Step-by-Step eMule Setup" is 41 pages now... Does not encourage people to use eMule really

I don;t have any devices in my network. I didn;t even known to mention it, as I didn;t knew it was a factor. So if that would help and not expose me to any external danger, maybe we should do it? (if yes, how?)

Also, I don;t use VPN, but I deduct from your posts it is a good think. Can someone reccomend VPN for use? Thank you
