Despite my earlier comments regarding my disappointments, I enjoyed the show enough to watch all 13 episodes. I might even try to re-binge it now that it's been brought back to our attention; thanks thelost!
I had never heard of this but decided to check it out after the February bump. I just finished a 3-day binge, and it was a pretty good show. Looking over the old posts I agree with some of the criticisms leveled at it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
One thing I noticed: Episode 12 of 13 ("Second Chance") was clearly intended to be the season-closing episode, and is a good enough way to end the series. It was followed up with Episode 13 ("Perception") which in plotline and character development clearly SHOULD have been aired midseason. Its events occur definitely after Episode 6 ("Sinking") and pretty clearly before Episode 8 ("Together"). I would have to watch the episodes again to be certain, but I think it should be between 6 and 7.
So if anyone binge-watches it again, make Episode 13 be Episode 6.5!
I also noticed that the plot synopses at IMDB for the midseason episodes are confused and wrong. Parts of one synopsis seem to belong to another episode.
ANOTHER thing -- Kyle MacLachlan as the evil rich Dr. Roman Skouras: there were several episodes where he was clearly reading his lines from cue cards, when he wasn't delivering them in an overdub while the camera was on the back of his head! When the camera was on him and he had dialog without his reading material handy, it was usually just 3 to 5 words and then CUT to another camera angle! He has never been a great actor but he could at least ACT, but here he was either being very lazy or else suffering from Bruce Willis-style aphasia at a younger age.
Yeah, I know this is FLM and no-one gives a damn about some creepy fifty-something dude... So, hey! The girl was cute!
