Huh? That came here in about 3 minutes!! I forgot to answer you, I do use torrents. This uloz feature is better than most of those.
Thanks Ghost and that pirate that will be left un-named. Relic

Huh? to you too! You downloaded it from ulozto in 3 minutes?!!!?? The VIDEO, not just the subtitle? How the f* did you do THAT?! Or do you have a Premium (paid) account?

Maybe ulozto is temporarily giving everyone premium speeds as part of some promotion. Free Ulozto has always been moderately paced for me. Faster than I can watch what I download, so I'm fine.

It does indeed. I'm not sure I understand how it decides when to do it, but I do very occasionally get my line speed.

Darnit, it is too bad I have been unable to perform any searches on ulozto for over a week now. The Gozofinder craps out in Cloudflare and does not even give me a chance at a Captcha, it just gives me the grumpy face. It would be nice if I magically discovered a large file that I could suddenly download in a few minutes rather than a few hours! The search block is probably because of my VPN, but the whole point of using THAT is to cover up my downloads. So for now I am relying on friendly pirates to give me direct links to the cool files on ulozto.

Ghost's video and subtitles stolen and illegally uploaded to Ulozto by a pirate. Arrrr! --

Have you tried clearing your web browsers entire cache/cookies? (Obviously means loosing all current logins and browser history, depending on what you choose to clear/delete).

I do that on a daily basis! I really ought to try shutting off my VPN and doing all ulozto searches desired, bookmarking the results, then downloading them with the VPN on. So far I only remember to do my banking with the VPN off.

Might give split-tunneling a try = only running certain software outside of the vpn while the vpn remains active for the rest of the system. Not sure if they’ve implemented it in their Windows app (Wireguard) already. It does work on Linux and Mullvad. Basically one browser runs with VPn enabled and the other browser without.

Yes, I have split tunneling setup using their Windows app. It definitely makes things easier, although 1fichier's hatred of Mullvad has added an additional complication I haven't solved yet.

I have long considered split tunneling...
Spoiler:

but could not decide what browser I wanted to exclude from the VPN! I would probably have to hold my nose and pick one I have but never use, like Edge.

In this case it turned out that the VPN was not the problem: I could not search ulozto in Chrome no matter what, but I COULD search it in Firefox. Since I always load my desired ulozto URLs in JD2 anyway rather than downloading in the browser, this will work out for me fine.

Still, having a dedicated browser split-tunneled for banking is still a good idea. What I have been doing is putting my emule and torrents on hold while I disconnect the VPN and do the banking "clean".
