Are there any subtitles, for either the split version or the single file?
Yes, sorry. I added the German subtitles to
my post
As I mentioned I was extremely lazy and never got around to dealing with the subtitles. I did previously link the full-length German subtitles at opensubtitles. I have compared them quickly with DreamScape's and see that they are mostly the same with the main difference being a minor change in the sync. I also noticed that DreamScape's single part extended version is about 5 minutes shorter than the 2-part extended version I have. (DreamScape's is 158m19s, mine is 163m47s.) As they are both 50fps I have no idea why, because the additional credits are not THAT long. And I do not know if the subtitles that I already had will sync automatically with the 2-part version I have if they are split at the correct place. I just can not keep up with evaluating all the versions of all the movies that interest me at FLM...
For reference, here is the slightly different German version from opensubtitles:

I tried to sync English subs from theatrical cut to this extended version
The result was English German mix
If a kind person from Germany can translate remaining parts...

I removed the watermark from the extended TV version.

Thanks for another upgraded version, ghost.
Was the source for this one the version that Night re-shared for us, or is the the version that DreamScape shared? From what I can tell, they have the same source, but night mentioned a slight difference in runtimes. Just curious.

The source is DreamScape.

The split file comes from a two part TV presentation. So the split version contains the preview for Part 2 at the end of Part 1, and the recap of Part 1 at the beginning of Part 2. Next time on ... last time on ... you know the drill. Plus of course there's an extra end credits at the end of the first part and so forth.
That's the difference in runtime. Both versions have a 50 fps framerate, so this doesn't play a role.

Ahhh that makes sense. So then those excess moments are cut out. "And now, the conclusion."
Once again, nice upgrade. Quality between the parts that Night shared and the single part that DreamScape shared seem the same, of course, though the volume level is different. I am wondering, too, if it would have been easier for ghost to edit the watermark on the files that Night shared, as it does not dip below the letterboxing into the image.
Just curious, where does the additional 1.5gb come from in your upgrade, ghost? Is it because the de-logo process requires you to re-encode? Did you upscale the quality? I am not criticizing, I am just a nosy dude.
Also, just wondering, what is the program that one would use to combine these files in the first place? mvkmerge?

Exactly. I had to reencode the movie and I used a slightly higher bitrate to avoid losing quality. That's all.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share other files, evaluate the different versions, remove watermarks, edit the extended version subtitles with English ... am I forgetting anything? I have a large folder of movies from over a year ago where I downloaded links while they were available and then was too busy/lazy to do anything with them because I did not want to fight with translating German subtitles.

This thread is proof that it is worthwhile to ask for a share of movies where the online links have gone dead.
Pillowbaker, if I remember correctly the MKVmerge option to combine two or more files in succession is "Append". Of course that is NOT the software used to delogo.
I am wondering, too, if it would have been easier for ghost to edit the watermark on the files that Night shared, as it does not dip below the letterboxing into the image.
I noticed that tiny little dip but I don't think it would have had much of an effect on delogoing, particularly with the software ghost uses. Cropping out the black bars in the version where the watermark is completely contained therein would STILL require a recode, although someone can do their own cropping if they play it in VLC. The amount of additional work in snipping off the excess at the end of pt1 and beginning of pt2 and only then rejoining them was probably the deciding factor because that takes manual video editing while delogoing can be set quickly and left to process on its own. I am glad deadman figured out the difference between the two because all I saw was a mere 30 seconds of credits.
