This request is optional (If no one wants to take the time and fulfil this, I'm perfectly fine with that, I'll just take Ghost's file.. I tend to only take upscales as a last resort)
DaveTheBoss posted a file that fits that description:
For some reason certain media players and subtitle editing programs choke on that file. I found an .mkv version of it that seems to be properly formatted.

I can't understand why you want the video with the poorer image quality, but deadman has already posted it for you.

Untouched source videos are always useful to have. I've tried to locate a DVD of this movie. From what I can tell there never was an official release, all the discs being sold are of the DVD Lady bootleg variety. This file is an SD streaming version from somewhere. It's the closest thing to a source file I've ever found. I would rate the prospect of a bluray release at little to none. Could end up being wrong, it wouldn't be the first time we've seen an unexpected upgrade, but this movie is quite obscure.
What we might possibly see is a true HD web-dl, if an arthouse type subscription service decides to stream it at some point.

Yes, the file from Dave was the best SD version we had so far, nevertheless I didn't keep it. My latest upscale really looks pretty good imho.
What we might possibly see is a true HD web-dl, if an arthouse type subscription service decides to stream it at some point.
That's what I think too. Maybe a WEB-DL in HD, but for that they would have to scan the negative again. I doubt if ever someone did that.

I can't comment on this..
I need to download your file to see what your upscale looks like since all your images/screens are dead and I don't know if I want to waste my download quota only to not really like the upscale much
I'm very picky when it comes to ai upscales.. Sometimes I do prefer upscales over the original untouced version but not very often
