The full disc is big. If you'd like a bd remux of the extended cut of the film, I can do that. Here it is with added English subtitles:

[Code]
Basically this is a version divided into three episodes for TV broadcast and shown in sequence one after the other - exactly as it's presented on the disc.

Thank You. You're the best.
Do you know anything about the Remux version of Les saisons du plaisir (1988)? Bloodhound1st said it was posted on fearnopeer, but it seems to be gone.

No, it does indeed appear to be gone. I didn't get to nab it before they took it down.

Way cool!!! Thank you deadman!

 I don't want to complain after you have been so generous, but I noticed a problem when I was scrolling through the video... I went back and forth to verify it. The final third of the movie (the final episode) has the audio and English subtitles way out of sync with the video. :( (I did not check the other subtitles, which I assume have the same problem.) The first two parts seem to have no problems.

I hate to ask you to do this movie again, but would you be able to fix it so it is all in sync? :pray If you can not, I understand. But I have seen your releases and you seem to have great audio-video skills, since some of them modify the source or mux in alternate audio. That is only why I dare to ask! If you can't fix it, I will check it again to see how much it is out of sync so that the audio and subtitles can be manually adjusted in VLC. I definitely wanted to post and give warning before someone sat down to watch it.

Thank you!

Don't worry about offending me - if there's a problem with something I've posted I want to know about it! I created the remux by opening the playlist on the bluray that plays the three episodes in a row, just like on all the extended rips, and saving the result with an external .srt file added for English subtitles. It's perfectly in sync for the first two episodes and out of sync on number 3. Very strange! When I open the file 00010.mpls directly in my media player, the whole thing's in sync, no weird discrepancies. When I have time this weekend I'll have to try some alternate methods to see if I can get around the problem.

In the meantime I'll delete the link so no one else downloads a defective version. Once again thanks for drawing my attention to this.

If you don't mind, could you delete the portion of your post that contains my old link? This is why you should avoid including images or links when you quote someone else's post - if they later have to revise the post or re-up dead images or links, your quoted version doesn't change.

Somehow, I kind of guessed that would be your attitude! :icon_thumbsup I just do not like to be the bearer of bad news.

I figured it probably had something to do with combining multiple separate parts, like a "Play All" for a TV series... and some unwanted "padding" showing up before the video or audio or the last episode.

OK, you've lost me there, but that is OK because I do not have the equipment to rip BluRays anyway, so I have not seen what is "under the hood" so to speak!

Thank you again! I look forward to seeing your Version 2.

In that case episode 2 should've been out of sync, and episode 3 even more out of sync. I don't know why my method didn't work.

If you're curious about that: assuming you have a bluray disc in folder form somewhere on your hard drive, look inside the directory BDMV. The last two folders in there will be PLAYLIST and STREAM. STREAM contains all the .m2ts files - the actual video files. In detail view where you can see the sizes of each one, the main movie is pretty easy to pick out. It's the biggest file.

PLAYLIST consists of a bunch of .mpls files - playlists (go figure). They are tiny in size because all they do is tell a media player or other piece of software which video files from the STREAM folder to play. Some of them refer to only one file, others give a chain of files to be played in sequence. In this case the three episodes are 00017.m2ts, 00018.m2ts, 00019.m2ts ... and 00010.mpls is the playlist that lists them all in that order.

When you choose the extended version on the bluray menu that's the playlist your device is using. So opening that in my .mkv editor of choice, MKV Merge, should've allowed me to save the result as a single remux .mkv with no sync issues, since the disc doesn't have any.

But for some reason, the only approach that didn't give me a screwed up result was to make separate .mkv files of each of those three .m2ts files directly. Not using a playlist. Create a separate remux for each episode and then combine them into one file. Remux the result one last time to add the English subs and the Chapter marks from my previous failed remux to the combined file. It was a pain in the ass involving a whole bunch of steps but it worked. I have verified that there are no audio or subtitle sync problems with the new remux. You can go back to my previous post and download it now:

If that was more information than you really wanted, I apologize. :D

Wow, that was a much faster fix-and-reupload than I expected! Thank you again, deadman!

A little tech-nerdery Blu chat:

That confused me too. I also thought that episode 2 would be a little bit off but it wasn't.

;)

I never even figured out the BUPs and IFOs on DVDs, and those I at least have had a computer drive to rip myself many times! I just rip the disk and let the software make what it will of the results.

I have downloaded BDMVs a handful of times, but I have never been able to play them with the disk menu even when it is supposed to be there. VLC tells me "Get stuffed" and MPC does not do much better. I can only convert them to MKVs and watch those, which is fine by me. I then delete the original BDMV. Still, I basically followed the logic of your explanation, so thank you for providing one!
my .mkv editor of choice, MKV Merge
If I remember right, MKV Merge GUI is the older, original form of MKVToolNix, right? And it is still included as the main engine of MKVToolNix, with ToolNix having a different GUI but still doing basically the same things?
But for some reason, the only approach that didn't give me a screwed up result was to make separate .mkv files
Since you say that the episodes are coded separately on the disk, that is my guess what would happen if I used MakeMKV on a BDMV of the disk. I would quit there and figure that I had done enough! Of course I would add English subtitles. But since I expect I would watch all 3 episodes in a row (as I have done when I watched this before), it is very convenient that you fought it through to make it one continuous movie! With multiple interludes of that catchy theme song, of course. Thanks again!
