This is in Discussion / Information and there is not even any sound! So I'll fix that.

Information:
The beginnings of competitive female gymnastics at TSV Hohenhorst between August 20, 1969 and August 11, 1970. The high point was April 19, 1970 with the inauguration of the "Artistic Gymnastics Center TSV Hohenhorst". Television, members of the national gymnastics squad and Hamburg's second mayor, Drexelius, were present.
Discussion:
I like the good old days of gymnastics too!

I enjoy the quaint, old timey effect that this type of older film gives these recordings. It just needs some slow, old-timey music for the background.

Good Lord, 1970 is not THAT old! :D

("Old-timey music" to me would be what goes with silent films.)

I figured it was degraded Super 8 footage.

Heh pardon me my lack of good adjectives. ;) I wouldn't say it's that old either. But the old timey effect of the grainy super 8 footage is especially pleasant. The silent film old timey music would be a tad too upbeat for this. If they sped the footage up and let the girls run into poles and each other, then I think it would fit quite well though!

Perhaps something more like Libet's Delay
or Rusted
or Over the Edge

Hey, not all silent films were comedies with antic music. Some were melodramas.

But I get what you mean about the appearance of the footage!
