Zippyshare closes forever end of March 2023

I want to thank them as I did download some of @deadman‘s releases through them (and this even at highest speeds!)

WTFF!!! That stinks! The only issue I had with zippy is that the files would disappear fairly quickly (they stated) if they did not get downloaded. But downloads were faster than MEGA in my experience.
Thanks for sharing the bad news. I guess I won't upload anything there anymore.
[EDIT: Ha ha, I checked my account, whatever files were there are gone. It went too long without any downloaders. Of course I have them in some form on an external drive, they were only there to share with others. I deleted my account.]

Well that sucks! Explains why they were starting to have problems though. Some of my files were expiring, even though I had JDownloader download a full list of them every few weeks to make sure they all stayed permanently online. I'll keep using MEGA but that has its drawbacks. Zippy you could grab as many files as you wanted at one time without having to use a VPN and reset the connection after each one to get around the cap. You didn't even need an account. All my uploads were done anonymously. They can't DMCA you if they have zero information about your identity.
I'm surprised they didn't appeal to users for donations before shutting down - most sites will do that for a while. Goodbye Zippyshare. You'll be missed!!!

One of the admins I think came to a reddit thread and said donations wouldn’t be worth it / generally too low which I agree with (even sites like pixeldrain.com and gofile.io that serve niche communities are just surviving). Gofile is mainly used by leak sites (onlyfåns, nudes, Porn etc) and pixeldrain is widely used by the anime, hentai communities I think).
Although their pricing is quite fair, 4€ gives you 2TB of storage & traffic per month.
