@Night & others

In many threads you will notice the problem of finding any subtitles. If there are no subtitles, they cannot be translated into any language.
The only solution is to have the AI create the subtitles or find a human who can do it.
The subtitles produced by AI are far from perfect.
Maybe it would be worth creating a thread in the forum "Looking for a person with a good knowledge of language X to help create transcriptions in that language? "
For example, I would be interested in the help of someone from the Czech Republic, because I happen to have a Czech film for which I would like to create high-quality Polish subtitles. Unfortunately I don't have subtitles in any language for this film that I could translate.
Of course, if someone has problems with translating the Polish subtitles or with finding any subtitles for a Polish film, I will try to help in my free time.
This is branch off of this thread

My proposal is to have all subtltles requests
centralized here, and if there's a result, like it was for
"Lime 2001)", then the result is posted there. I don't think there'll be a problem of confusing via double postings, because the numbers will be low.
Or a subsequent lack of server space. because it's text, not even pictures nor epubs.
Thoughts?

Wow, that is one heck of a long Subject line!
My first thought is: I totally approve of the idea of a centralized place for requesting transcriptions for subtitles made from scratch. That way if someone is enthusiastic about doing the work, they don't have to search through all the threads to find a project.
Thank you Triela for creating the thread! "General" seems a reasonable enough place to have it. I might consider editing the Subject line to say something about subtitles, but there is no need to jump to a decision on that right away. I look forward to seeing what interest this generates!
I strongly suggest that any requests or fulfillments include a LINK posted in this thread to the correct movie thread. (Everyone knows how to post links, right?) That way, work is being done on the right movie and no one accidentally does it twice after someone else has done it some time ago. Like you said, this thread should be short, but the MOVIE thread can be very long and someone might not notice that the result has shown up! Someone who HAS decided to take on a project should also post that information here. If someone else wants to work on it too, they can collaborate. Four ears are better than two.

What a fantastic idea, I know I've had problems in the past with obtaining subtitles for obscure media so crowd-sourcing it sounds fantastic.
I'll be sure to bookmark this thread!

And those who don't wish to go public with their knowledge of language X can always reply with PM and kindly ask nit to mention them by name
