Was wondering if anyone on this board uses this software to clean up the older/damaged films. It seems to be on a whole league above Topaz Video AI, which is more suited for sources that are already of reasonable quality. It also features things like colourisation & de-interlacing. It's a professional industry tool and is orders of magnitude more expensive than Topaz, so I guess the vast majority of users will be professional film restorers working for a business - any of those here?

Looks impressive. I'd seen a Youtube video of someone using something similar to fix old films a year ago. But cant' recall the software - but know it was professional. Might have been this. Did all of the things you mention / show. Colourising / negative cleanup

I never heard about DIAMANT Film Suite before. When I got it right, it's a software for restoring old footage. What it certainly not can, is to make out of a bad VHS Rip a sharp 4K image.

I can't see any prizes on theit website, but I'm sure it must be pretty expensive. Meant for professioanals.

I definitely wouldn't expect that of it. The upscale feature actually appears to be a weak point. It would certainly be helpful in terms of cleaning up footage before putting it through Topaz, DaVinci Resolve, etc. Topaz is known to make things worse if you provide it with something in quite poor condition. And obviously you get things like de-interlacing and colourisation, which could be useful for some cases.

It costs approximately 20K USD for industry/business, you can contact them for a quote according to your use case/circumstances - but it would certainly an expensive(!) piece of software either way...

Yes, I often prepare footage before upscaling it with Topaz. Davinci Resolve Studio has some great filters. Also some third party plugins for Premiere Pro.
Deinterlacing is often the biggest problem. I always try different methods until I'm pleased before upscaling.
