I check my emule 'Log' on the 'Servers' page a lot, and for the first time EVER, I noticed THIS in the log:
"User Circui_(1370233416) requested your list of shared directories-> Denied"
Has ANYONE ever gotten THIS type of entry before??
Does this mean that someone is hacking into my emule system??
I killed emule (turned it off) for right now until I know what's going on here...
Am I being 'Tracked' now????
kev.

Hello Kev
Iv had that message a few times.
As far as I am aware, this message means that someone is trying to view other files that you may have shared.
I think emule hides your shared folders from being requested unless you want them requested, and the message you received shows that to be the case
"User Circui_(1370233416) requested your list of shared directories-> Denied"
On WinMX users are constantly browsing your shared directories in order to offer trades.
Dont worry about it, its cool

WHEW!*
Seriously, THAT had me going PARANOID!!!
I've always considered emules methods of using servers from different contries and all to be one of the safest methods of p2p around... I've NEVER received a message like that and it literally sent chills through me!
lol
Thanks for helping way-lay my fears.

Keep cool kev
In the settings of eMule you can allow people to see your shared folders or deny it. That's all. No reason to worry about.
Btw: Safest way is not to use ed2k servers. Just use the KAD network. You are not connected to a central server and files are coming as 'fast' as with beeing connected to a server.
