AKA: De Ontbrekende schakel

Here's one that billanben was interested in...

IMDB link: http://imdb.com/title/tt0127023/
MISSING LINK is the story of a dreamy eleven-year-old boy named Rick, who lives with his mother Lydia in a small town in the Netherlands. Rick never knew his father, an RAF pilot - he was shot down in the war when Rick was an infant. It is now 1955. At school, Rick sees a film about the Congo and comes under the spell of Darkest Africa. He reads in a newspaper that an expedition led by Professor Oudewetering will set out from Brussels to the Congo in search of the "Missing Link." Rick is convinced that the expedition is searching in the wrong place and runs away from home to visit the professor in person. During the chaotic journey, he reads his mother's old diary. What Rick finds in his mother's memoirs causes his world to collapse and forces Rick to take a big step towards growing up..

I haven't watched the whole movie yet so I can't really say how good or bad it is overall... lol (As usual; all are set to 'Release'.)

I will bump on this one to.
I don't have it and it is indeed rare. the only dvd I found for purchase was from Japan and asking way to much. I did find a clip of the movies beginning that I liked but it didn't show enough for me to tell if anyone else would like this.

P.S. I don't give up easy searching for something I want to find. I found a dvd NTSC and it's cheap with English subtitles. :)

The source for this was a usenet DVDR posted to a.b.cores 281 days ago. Be warned, although it plays OK as a standalone DVD someone has included trailers at the end of the movie in the complete 4th & partial 3rd VOBs in the sequence. Not very helpful when trying to encode! Source quality is pretty piss-poor, hardly worth a 2CD size rip but I'm a creature of habit.

Thanks lb! :clap

I was excited I thought I had a source for the DVD until I found it was unseeded, now I don't need to worry about it and can just watch it. :)
