Hi All

Can anybody help me with a quandry. I downloaded a movie and it finished and when it was hashing it came back as insufficient and said it could not go through. It showed up as a yellow checkerboard, instead of green.

Is there any way of saving the movie, and please if you could use common language as I am not a computer file.

Thanks for any help anybody can give me.

And for those that are interested I will be putting up The Countess of Gratz, (a shortened version of the name) on Tuesday

Cheers for now

Hi dude

Firstly you are going to make yourslef =the most valuable commodity on the net if you keep posting these gems :-)

Secondly, what this means (and I have several now in this state) is that the directory where you save completed files (Options\Directoris\Incoming files) does not have anough space to complete the hashing process. You can do one of two things :-
1. Create some space on that drive, then right click the film in EM and hit "resume" once you do this should complete the hash.

2. Make a note of the .part file number (xxx.part), then shut down em. Download and install Met File Regenerator, run it in default mode (repair) select the .part file number and let it do its stuff. It will create a part file with a different number, you will then have this complete and can delete the original.

The first option is obviously much sweeter.

Method 1. OK.
Method 2. Overkill. Just copy the part file to another folder, then rename it to whatever you want the filename to be.avi.

Method 2 is for corrupted file (will say error loading .part file when start emule) and has saved my ass on a number of occasions. I have tried renaming in the past and sometimes works sometimes not.

I always work on the premise of having as many options as possible !
