I ha d this turned off at one time. Some how it got turned back on and I can't find a way of turning it off.
I use a different firewall and this one is just getting in my way.
When I bring up the firewall page or whatever you want to call it, I can not click on the Off(not recommended) part. For that matter I can not click on, on as well.
Anybody have any ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Mmm - have only seen this when machine is part of a domain and therefore a Group Policy is dictating terms - is that your case ? If not, check google cos there is a registry hack to turn this off.

You dont need to hack anything... just go into your windows control panel and find "Windows Firewall" then turn it off in there.
To keep windows from bugging you about why its off go into your control panel and find "Security Center" in the left side in the "Resources" box click on "Change the way Security Center alerts me". Just uncheck anything you dont want it bugging you about.
This is all saying your using XP SP2...
Or I dont understand what your asking...

I think it is somehow disable my Administrator. Login as Him and set your policy for your name to be able to turn it off or on when ever u please.
