As we all know the forum was down for several days at the end of the last month because our allotted bandwidth was used up.
I hereby solemnly swear not to visit the forum more than three times a day from now on.

We reached the bandwidth limit of 5 GB/month and i don't know why, because it never happened before and there were no changes.
Unfortunatly i couldn't be online for 1 week and therefore wasn't able to fix it

We reached the bandwith limit of 5 GB/month
Without hosting a single picture...? That's almost impossible! Maybe we've been "dugg"!
Most likely someone posted this adress to some kind of board or a bot tried to spam our forum...

Well it kills my RAM allocation so if that's anything to go by. Maybe preferable to have NOT looping my default ? Can select play/loop if you want to do so ? Worth a try ?

No. The banners can't take so much bandwidth.
I am still searching for the reason

Does the server provide bandwidth usage logs? Preferably in graphical form. Might help you track down the problem if you know exactly when it occurred.

Have to say that looks like a natural increase to me from following reasons :-
1. Increase in members posting (not sure since we lost Terry if that can be true).
2. Increase in amount of graphics included in each post - this would be my guess and the two answers I can think of are :-
Don't embed the graphics - provide links.
Increase the amount of bandwidth allowed to maybe 10GB to allow for growth (we may well have to stump up for this option).
I would be 95% confident that we have not been hit by DDOS or any other bandwidth attack.
