thats good you are connected, emule works by multiple downloads, you need to start downloading 20+ files... if you just have that 1 file noting will happen for ages.. patience!deadarise wrote:yeah i did connect when I open up the emule!

and dude - change your port - that default invariably causes lowid

Some short tips:
- don't use servers (ED2K), use only KAD, for security reason
- KAD gets more search results
- get yourself a modded client, not the standard one
- offer the files you like to offer, but offer some
- do not offer music clips and child pornography
- do not offer movies currently in cinemas
- do not allow other users to see your list or, at least, only your friends
- let the client run day and night
- set files you release to "release" mode to spread them faster
