Yes, it must be complete (in order to generate the hash in the ed2k link) when it is put on eMule.

However, suppose you have it 73% downloaded but all the 100% sources leave. You will be stuck with 73% until a complete source (or at least more complete than you) comes back, which might be weeks, months, or never. Over time everyone who starts downloading it will see you with your 73% as the most complete. They will all get to 73% and then get stuck just like you are. This happens a lot here.

You need to

1. be patient. Maybe the releaser is on vacation, or having hardware problems, etc.

2. keep searching. Sometimes files are abandoned because a better version is available (as has happened several times on this forum). e.g. Not much point continuing to share a 900 MB mpg VHSRip if a 700 MB DVDRip becomes available.

2nd: Maybe obvious, but if you find the files in torrents, they may be completed that way too.

I just downloaded four different versions of that film.
Each one was rubbish, in terms of picture quality and content.

I wouldn’t bother even trying to play the film.

I know we all have differant tastes, but I would be suprised if anyone could sit through this film or find anything worth cutting from it.

Try changing the extension to .ISO then load it with DaemonTools.

Open the file with a hex editor (e.g. Hex Workshop) and see what the first few bytes reveal (header). You get a lot of useful information that way, especially if the file has been incorrectly renamed.

While downloading, it is always a good idea to check what names other people have for that file.
