I looking for english subtitles for the film Clément because I would like to understand the film. Is there any site I can request subtitles for a film where someone may have english subtitles for this film that they created from scratch ? I am sure there is bound to be at least one person who may have at least done a rough copy of english subtiles for the film maybe.

It is quite a pain to make subs from scratch. If you can find subs in any language, that makes a good starting point for subs in the desired language.

I hear you with it being a pain to create subs. I wish I could find any language subtitles for Clément but I have not even been able to do that. I doubt this film will ever come with English subtitles or any subtitles at all. I did contact to see and someone told me that there is suppose to be a version that comes out with English subtitles but I doubt that will ever happen. It has been awhile sense then.

Why do some foreign films never officially come out with English subtitles ?

You can start by requesting it at the various subtitles websites. Maybe you'll get lucky. If not, just wait and pray.

I requested subs for Opal Dream on May 08, 2007. Nothing. Then on Feb 16, 2008, almost a year later, FLL came across a version with subs, remembered I wanted them, and very kindly posted them for me. [FLL, if you read this, my niece adds her thanks to mine.]

So, even if nothing else works out at the moment, just by posting the request here means that several dozen members have registered your request and will keep an eye out for the subs.

That is the best thing I can do unless I want to get the film translated in English. I doubt this film will ever have subtitles come out for it when it doesn't even have french subs being the original language. It is very rare for films to get home made english subtitles or any. There is only one film so far that I know that has.
