Identify yourself!

I run a modded version of emule that allows me several friend upload slots. Whilst I'm not able to achieve
the dizzy upload speeds the likes of FLL & ghost can manage I have a quick & stable connection with
(hopefully) a well optimized emule. (As I speak ghost is getting about 31/32kb/s & emuler 6kb/s from me)
I'll always try to give an upload slot to anyone I recognize but tend to ignore anonymous users unless
things get quiet. Easiest way to get my attention is to stick the FLM tag in your emule username as many
others do. Give it a try.

Cheers!

It’s a nice idea
I have always been clearly marked, although I can’t tell you how many times Iv seen people downloading from me with the same user name as myself.
Hell, maybe its me downloading from me lol

A little strange because I've got about 20KB/s spare/unutilized bandwidth. Sometimes you transfer a lot faster to me too, then things tend to slow down for a while. What is your total upload speed?

I vary emule upload speed according to what else I'm doing, how much my ISP is throttling
my connection & how much demand there is for what I'm sharing.
As an example, when I posted the thread my upload was capped at 40kb/s meaning you &
ghost were utilizing virtually all of it. However, at present upload is still limited to 40kb/s
but i'm physically only uploasding at 17kb/s to various users with no friends showing.
Overnight (when my bandwidth seems pretty unrestricted) I will regularly set my upload limit
to 80kb/s with quite often most of it being used although rarely will another user achieve
more than 40kb/s from me. This compares unfavourably with ghost & FLL who on occasions
can give me 70kb/s. If you'd like me to run a speed test let me know (& which site to use for
consitency) & I'll run a few at different times of day.

Cheers!

lately i have been getting individuals downloading from me that i recognize. but they are not showing up as friends. i have them marked as such in the past. perhaps this happens if they recently updated to different software or changed i p? also i too saw me downloading but with emule project in front of my tag?
i haven't given new friend slots yet because i am not sure it is really them or a poser. and why would someone pose as someone else unless they are up to mischief?

:think :)

For myself my main computer is a desktop, but I won a laptop this summer and I use this to down load as well.

I use rmt@36(flm) on both of them. hopefully this helps in my case.

i have both in my friends list for a while. i was referring to some recent multiple personalties. i consider the core group here of about 50 members. a few of those have popped up recently under multiple tags. :think

i still share. just not as much ;) time will tell. i have seen many individuals that posted recently i haven't seen in a while. perhaps new toys?
