I'm pretty sure your emule client isn't set up properly. Or you are doing something wrong. Ask for help at the support forum of your client (after reading the FAQ and tutorials, of course). There are a few posts in the emule help section of this forum too.

Common problems:

1. LowID. Basically it is your firewall (allow emule.exe unrestricted access, both incoming and outgoing) and your router (go to http://www.portforward.com for free instructions on how to set up your router for your router model and your client).

2. Your upload speed is set too high for your connection. You need some spare upload bandwidth to service your downloads, so setting upload speed too high will kill your downloads.

Damn!! I've had emule running for 2 days straight now. I've got a high ID and I'm sharing out on 'eMule FRANCE no1' as well as Kad; you oughtta be able to get that damn movie even if I AM the only one sharing it out... (Which I don't think I am... I've seen others accessing it over the hours..)
