Music play lists

Can anyone recommend a very simple music player.
Iv never really made play lists before, and it turns out that VLC's wont work!
Just comes up with errors all the time.
Until now iv always just played one song at a time without the need for play lists.
Do people still use that old fashioned winamp I remember from years ago?
Something simply that works would be fine
PS, please dont suggest WMP. I hate it with a passion!!

Yes, Winamp is still the favourite.

You can turn off all the bells and whistles and you'll be left with a light, neat player that is just for music.
Avoid using it to play videos, though. Sure it works, but the various sub sections get misaligned and have to be manually brought back in line after you're done.

Excellent thanks.
I was just about to have a shave, and decided I was fed up with having to leave the bathroom every few mins to change the track lol
And there was me thinking that play lists were just for other people
Far from me it to admit to liking dance music (I’m really more of your indie / metal / thrash fan), but I just downloaded Cream fields - 10 - Years CD complication, and im latterly dancing around the house like a friggin maniac!!!

Believe it or not im not totally PC illiterate, I just have a tendency to get pissed off when things don’t make immediate sense.
In the right frame of mind, I do make the effort to learn without asking silly questions
Cheers for the links

Funny you should mention ipod, as im in the market for an MP3 player!!
I’m one of those people that tend to go by reviews, and take a really long time to decide on a product.
I really like the idea of drag and drop players, but I have yet to find one that I like.
I also want solid state storage.
So I think I can forget about ipods.
I have been looking at the creative zen players, but they aren’t exactly pretty, and the headphones get bad reviews.
So what I need is a solid state / drag & drop / good looking / good value mp3 player.
Oh and one that isn’t stupidly small (I like a bit of substance for my money).

Well I think I found it
I have 7500 nectar points, just enough for the Sony NWZB133
That’s pretty much all I need for my 20min walk to work every day.
As usual I can’t find one single review on it!!
OK so Sony is pretty pants these days, but I can’t go wrong with this surely.
