Releasing

Post by loverboy »   0 likes

I'm beginning to fall behind with stuff backing up, ready to release. At present I reckon it's feasable for me to make a fresh release every 48 hours, obviously dependent on others being complete & continuing sharing allowing me to lower the release priority. emuler was good at keeping me informed of progress........my afternoon & evening upload speed is so poor it's very difficult to know how complete others are. It would help if one of the usual 'big guns' could PM me or give me the nod when complete & sharing, allowing me to move on to the next release.

Cheers!

i guess that i'm no "big gun", but after i sorted my shared folder system it's easier to keep track of what i can share together with my own releases. For the moment i got roughly 4000 files with nordic content or FLM related in share. For sure i can give feedback on progress. Two of my four slots is kept for the nordic stuff and two for FLM stuff. Normally i have 15-20 kb/s on each slot.

No worries guys!!

I only release a couple of times a month (no pun intended).

Any of us could release every day, but what’s the point in posting any old shit just because kids are a feature, if the said films are a load of crap or have no interesting scenes.

Better to post one good film rather than everything we come across.

I'll take that as a pretty comprehensive kick in the bollocks.

Don't feel offended.. we have all different views on things, and i'm really glad for the strange things you manage to come up with.

Sorry, but i agree with Debaser. Why sharing thousands of files?

I am sharing the newest ones i downloaded and my new releaeses, but if someone asks for a re-release, i never would say no ;)

the same with me. just ask

too many files spreads your upload to the point of sharing each file very slowly. since i figured this out my upload for a new release is about 6 times faster. but it all depends on your program. i have noticed several different programs being used here. some may have better options for sharing than others.

when i have nothing new i am releasing or downloading. which is very rare. i share my archive folder. doing so i can see who here needs a file and i move that file to release for a while.

When i release a new one, most of other files gets low priority.. These files are not shared then... And queues are never too big.. Max 100 in queue as i mostly share the rare stuff from nordic countries.
