Since most of us non-scandinavian users are not so firm with swedish, norwegian or finnish, I would like to know if someone has information about the first Madicken movie coming on Blu-Ray or not.

The second one is already out, along with many other Astrid Lindgren movies on Blu-Ray, but the better first movie still is not.

I wonder if they don't want to release two naked girls in high definition, sitting on chairs (beginning scene)...

Do you know of swedish/norwegian/finnish forums where they might talk about the BD being released or not? I would so much like to have a positive information about this Blu-Ray still coming this year.

I'm sure you could request it at NEF and they would be receptive...

Because NEF is specified on nordic movies?

Hi infiniter, i can check with SF Norway tomorrow... They carry the rights for Astrid Lindgren in nordic countries...

I don't know if this is the one you mean, but I found a bluray release of a movie called Madicken Pa Junibacken. It was listed on a site called http://english.megastore.se, and had a release date of March 24, 2009. Hope this helps.

Hi infiniter, the other Madicken will be released on Bluray as well. Might be around the time of a Bluray release of Ronja. It's not decided which version of Ronja Rövardotter that will be released either, as the demand for the long version has been much higher than expected in Sweden. As for the old dvd, they released the shorter version, but many has requested the long version that so far has only been released on VHS. SF told me that all Astrid Lindgren movies are planned to be released on Bluray.

This is the second movie, I mentioned it above. I already got this one on Blu-Ray. But the first one has much more to offer, if you know what I mean.

Can you confirm? Because Ronja is out since quite a while and no sign of the next Madicken Blu-Ray yet. I check www.discshop.se from time to time for the their coming releases, but nothing. Many of the Lindgren movies are out now on Blu-Ray, at least in Sweden.
