I’m having some trouble with this site.
After two weeks my browser suddenly can’t view it, but I can view http://photofile.ru, except that it is http://photofile.name/ that I am a member of.
The whole freakin photofile site has always been a bit bonkers and this is the icing on the cake!!
Have I really lost all my contacts and folders simply because they are now .ru instead
of .name?
I can’t even get the British flag that enables at least some English characters on the site to display anymore.

Try using google web site translation

*.ru existed before *.name and both pointed to the same site.

I am not a regular visitor of that site, so I don't know what has been going on lately, but it looks like they don't want international users anymore. The site is now available in Russian, Ukrainian and Spanish only.

Maybe http://photofile.es/users/debaser/ works better for you...

Nice tip. Although my user name isn’t Debaser I found my albums using the same format. Sadly all I can do is view my own stuff, not actually sign in. What a bastard!

Well, maybe your acount was blocked by accident. Maybe someone hijacked your account and is now using your identity

I would get in contact with the admins...

At least you haven't lost everything. If you can view it, you can replicate it on another host. Otherwise you'd have had to start from scratch.

Indeed. I dont bother with flickr much now except for viewing, they are too tight on the rules for sharing!

I am already checking out another host and it is to say the least!!

Well, I've downloaded more than 2500 complete albums from that site in the last 3 years, but I wouldn't create my own account there.
