Please post any movies you feel should be deleted from the forum on this thread ;) I guess it will help keep the site tidy and on-topic :D Also please give a few words as to why you feel it should be deleted ;)

Thanks, Rich :)

I think he got a point... Most of us are wanting and loving the same type of movie, but there are exception. And some movie may be missed because of somebody else judgment. The best, I think, is to simply post our review on the movie, but without deleting the thread (except some that everyone agree and that are really out of topic...).

Hi,
That's a bit subjective Rich, one man's meat being another man's poison type of thing!
Very true ;)
I wonder how many hyped over rated films we've waited to see only to find out what a piece of rubbish it is, that could be a poll, the worst child film you saw
Yes it would be quite interesting, probably be best as a discussion, there is that much crap out there and a poll can only have 12 options

I personally find titles such as Madeline, Troop Beverly Hills, Hope Floats, Matilda.... or any (usually mainstream American) childhood movie that depicts children as mischievious brats  rather than little people with unique character, pretty terrible. But then some enjoys these titles :?
The best, I think, is to simply post our review on the movie, but without deleting the thread (except some that everyone agree and that are really out of topic...).
Ok. Then I will leave this thread open for anyone who feels a certain movie does not belong here, if members agree I will delete.

later, Rich :)

Any movie that has an interesting young female is on my 'yes' list. Syostry (sisters) might not be a great movie but I liked several scenes...

- the older sister shooting the gangsters
- the same dancing an oriental veil dance
- the Roma boy giving her some cash when she was forced by circumstance to sing for her supper.

Please don't delete it.

If we delete them, won't we lose track of why they were deleted in the first place? IMHO far better to mark them as being undesirabe/ uninteresting, whatever.

Surely for purposes of this 18+ only = definitely off topic ? Any movie which is this should not be here - probably all agree that ?

One of things to think about is newcomers to forum - they get the excitement (and disappointment) of going through a whole candy box of films - that is a feeling which should not be denied them.

I agree we should start putting own reviews which, though subjective, could at least give a clue. If we feel this really is not worth the bother of download through being :-

Poor quality
Off topic
Only tiny bit of OT which does not warrant download
Uninteresting

We can say in review, if however even though not completely ot (and how many honestly are), but still an interesting film- again review can state this. Doesn't matter how in depth - I have seen reviews which consist of PHWOAR - so I think that says worth downloading :-)

The question I would like to ask Rich, Ghost is WHY are we considering deleting films ? Is this is space issue, or one of confusion over too many films, or another reason not mentioned ? If we know why, we can be more objective in the how.

Just my thoughts but it was always going to be the case in such a high-participation forum that there would be a large number of posts, and we have gone the first step to creating a more usable forum by splitting into REQ and REL. This forum will need to evolve futher with considerations to :-

1. Seaprate forums for highly populated topics.

2. An Off topic form

3. A discussion forum for anything on (and maybe one for off-topic)

4. An archive "dump" forum

5. Special (but completely legal) interests forum

I know this is not needed now, but IMHO, the best forums on the web are those which are readable and manageable AND have inetresting posts and high participation. We have gone a long way to that here, but need to be looking at changes to reflect the quaility and quantity of posts. I suggest we all start by posting reviews of films (howver brief) and maybe say why kept or deleted ?

Just my ideas - don't go hanging me for them :-)

Better get rid of all the David Hamilton titles then

Most of us including myself don’t like young girls being depicted by much older girls, but more than a few titles on FLM are like this and are still highly praised here.

I think that it would be better if users were to post FRIENDLY comments about the ages of characters in such releases rather than just delete them all.
Deleting them will just upset the people that went to the effort to release them in the first place, releases that are still enjoyed by some members of the board.

For example, the classic David Hamilton titles often have actresses much older than 18, but these sorts of films are often still of interest to collectors that also like younger characters in there film collections.
PHWOAR

To my opinion there is no need to delete movies from here. For me the forum is also a big database of childhood movies and becomes bigger almost every day.

If a movie is worth downloading or not you can see in the comments people write as reply and i hardly can't remember that movies with 18+ were posted here.

Hmm about the idea of billaben: I think it's not a good idea to split this board in more and more forums.
