Why no Latin American [REL] & [REQ] sections?

I believe I've read some mention in old posts about the question of separate Latin American [REL] & [REQ] sections, but I don't recall what reasons were given (if any) for not having them. I really do think FLM could use a dedicated Latin American section, with Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America and Brazil, all inclusive. I think there are enough OT, Spanish/Portuguese-language films from those countries to merit creation, especially with all the good stuff coming out of Mexico and South America in the last decade or so.
What do you think, Admins?

An interesting idea. It would be a departure from the one-forum-per-country rule we've always done, but it could work if it were "Unlisted (Latin America)". Only ghost can actually create a forum listing, and he'd need some statistics to back up a decision. When I put together the argument to create a Japan forum a while back I looked at which countries had enough listings to merit their own forum and only Japan had double-digit releases, though Mexico and Argentina were close. Latin America as a whole didn't occur to me, I'll take a look at how it would affect Unlisted when I get a chance.
