Actually, when it was filmed she wasn't 16, but rather 14, just like her character.
http://www.luamusic.com.br/mariana.htm says she was 14.
It was filmed in 1984 according to
http://www.contracampo.com.br/39/fulaninha.htm and other sources. Total production (including post-production) occurred in 1984-1985 according to "Enciclopédia do cinema brasileiro" by Fernão Ramos and Luiz Felipe Miranda on page 168.
Her year of birth, 1969, is confirmed in the book "Ela é carioca: uma enciclopédia de Ipanema" by Ruy Castro (1999) on page 291.
And we know her birthday was the last day in September.

This story of a young girl, her boyfriend, and a fortyish director who becomes entranced by her (not knowing she's the daughter of his current lady friend) stars the stunning 14-year-old
Mariana de Moraes. The movie was released to theaters in 1986 but was actually filmed in 1984. Longer post-production times are normal when you don't have the resources and technical staff of a major studio.
This is the best version out there right now, as far as I can tell. Supposed DVD versions being sold online are just TV or VHS transfers on DVD-R. There's never been a commercial disc release (why!?

). This is an SD digital web-dl. Not quite up to DVD standards but noticeably better than other files I've seen. Unfortunately I can't find subtitles for this movie anywhere. Any member who's got them is invited to share!

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're
able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps.

No subtitles, but I did find a better version:

Dark scenes are extremely grainy, but the brighter scenes look quite good. And the whole thing is an improvement over my previous version. It looks like a film print was scanned in without any restoration work - AI enhancement could probably improve the picture even further.
