Rather than dredge up my old status thread with historical posts I'll start a new one.

I have been quiet recently & will continue to be so. I have various issues in my life that require my time & even more of my thoughts for the short-term future.

I was also unfortunate enough to suffer a hard-disk failure a few days ago, resulting in a new drive with the dreaded format & reinstall. There was fortunately no data loss (it was C: drive, containing only the OS & programmes) but was sudden & unexpected with no chance to prepare. I'm part-way through re-installing but this is a mammoth & miserable task that I'm doing when I can be bothered & will take time. Although I've already reinstalled eMule, I'm no ed2k expert & consider it was nothing short of a miracle I had it previously working so well. The experts can look forward to me contacting them in due course for final tweaks!

I haven't disappeared although some will doubtless wish I had.............

I've been away for a few days.

Despite all the crap we're fed by those wishing to relieve us of money by extolling the virtues of super-technology we still have areas in the UK with no public wireless internet access & even in this particular case, no mobile phone coverage. I don't want 3G, camera phones, webphones, iphones or any such shite, I simply want to be able to make & receive a fu**ing telephone call. I don't consider that unreasonable.

Anyway, I'm back & touched I've been missed.
