Torrents are way faster than emule, especially with the new stuff, like Tv shows that aired
an hour ago. This is not just in my experience.
emule is too better for finding rare stuff. technically, torrents are superior/faster,
i guess, but emule is not bad either.
For example, I found The Zack Files - Season 1 and 2 via emule, there's no torrents for it.
Are Torrents faster than eMule, in YOUR experience?

Technically I am not sure but in daily experience of using both for years. Torrents are much much much faster. Emule has a better life span than torrents can rarely match and with Emule as long as someone has the file it can always be reshared by anyone that has it. when a torrent has no more seeds it dies and so does the chance of you getting the file. many files here are rare and found nowhere else and also Emule is extremely easy for anyone to share.
my opinion on torrents is they are great but if you snooze you lose.
Emule takes patience but you always win.
