i got this message this morning when i posted something.

i've never seen that before.when i tried again it allowed me to post and i discovered 2 identical posts(i deleted one)

That's nothing new, it's protection in the board software against double clicks.

What happened is
a. Your original post went through even though you never saw the resulting page displayed.
b. You double clicked (or clicked again very soon) so the board assumed it was a duplicate and rejected it with that message.
c. You waited a bit, thus avoiding the double-click detection, and refreshed, posting again. This is the duplicate you saw.

When you get that message, the right thing to do is reload the thread (not refresh the post action) to verify that your post went through the first time.

Since I read FLM via a laptop computer with a touchpad (not a mouse) I see that message from time to time, for me it's much easier to accidentally double click with a touchpad.
