'Rounding off the recent spate of Kedzierzawska uploads, presented here are her collected student films, made between 1981 and 1985. With the notable exception of Poczatek ("Beginning" - a near-abstract study of a textiles factory), all of the films are explorations of childhood, a theme that remains omnipresent in almost all of her subsequent long-form works. One of the most gifted contemporary Polish filmmakers, her style was already fully-formed when she made Agnieszka in 1981.
I've made full menus for the disc, which contains the following films:
- Agnieszka [1981]
- Jajko [1982]
- Poczatek [1983]
- Gucia [1985]
All of the films are dialogue-free (with the exception of a couple of lines spoken at the end of Poczatek) so no subtitles are required to enjoy these luminously beautiful films.'
only two of them worth bothering about.(my opinion)
