Nice. :D Especially the last comment. The guy totally deserved that. :D

Btw. Phuzzy4242, the mp4 of this is some 21MB in size.

Hmm, emuler has a point. 1.7MB is pretty small. The 720p is 73.4MB ;)

I use two Firefox plugins for downloading videos - Ant, and Easy Youtube Video Downloader. Style and size depends on which I use and what mode I use them in. I've never had either fail so spectacularly before. :(

Sorry about that, and thanks for grabbing good versions. :thumbsup

I use Flashgot (along with Flashget 1.73 - the classic version, not with the new one with all the 'bells and whistles'). When a video is playing in FF, I see an icon in the lower right hand corner of the browser window. If I mouse-over it, I can see all the versions/qualities of that video that are available along with file sizes, and clicking any one of them allows me to download that version.

That said, I think you'll get better results if you copy the link and go to YouTube, and not try to download off the embedded player in this site.

I always go to YouTube itself, not try to grab from the embedded viewer. Ant puts an icon in the corner of Firefox and downloads at whatever resolution is currently being displayed. Easy puts a button on the YouTube page right next to the Share button and allows you to pick resolutions regardless of what's being displayed. It will also let you choose between FLV and MP4, and will save just MP3 audio if you want (handy for live music shows, etc.).

I usually preview the downloads before adding them to eMule. This time I didn't, so of course it's the time it fouled up.
