Pretty much a collection of vignette's of 2 or 3 different groups of girls skipping rope, tossing balls, and all-around having fun. A couple of boo-hoo moments here or there, but no discernible storyline what-so-ever...
I love to watch children at play, so at roughly 11 mins it was a bit short for me..

Comptines means rhymes, and that's what you were getting - "eeny meeny miney moe", jump rope cadences, etc.

I would have put "no subs needed", but I did not get it cause I was looking for deeper meaning. Sometimes, its so simple, it goes over my head

As a natural French speaker, some more explanations need to be made about the word "Comptine". It means a bit more than just rhymes... and has nothing to do with "sound and pronounciation" games, if I may say so.
Compter, the verb at the origin of the word Comptine, means "count". A "Comptine" is a little song/poem that has to involve some counting.
One of the most famous French comptines goes :
1,2,3,
nous irons au bois
4,5,6,
cueillir des cerises
7,8,9,
dans mon panier neuf
10,11,12,
elles seront toutes rouges !
which means
1,2,3,
Lets go to the woods
4,5,6,
and pick up cherries
7,8,9,
in my brand new basket
10,11,12,
they'll be shining red !
But you also need to know that the lines rhyme by pairs : 3/bois 6/cerises 9/neuf and 12/red (to be true they don't match that well lol)
Hope this helped. Most of the time, nowadays, the word Comptine is misused for any popular little children songs, though.
