A wonderful (much too) short film with

Alissa Skovbye who has the most beautiful eyes...

Rocketship Misfits is a feature film about a group of students who come together to reclaim a lost part of the American Dream: Space Travel. A University astrophysics class take part in a nationwide competition to design and build a scale model sub-orbital spacecraft. As much as our film is about the prospect of space travel, at its core it's about personal struggle and starting over. It's about dealing with family, the burden of expectation, and the loss of innocence. More than anything it's about overcoming the odds to achieve something out of this world, in every sense of the phrase.

The Vimeo title says "Short Version" so maybe there's a long version too?

I think their goal was to eventually make a feature length film. This "short film" was made as a "proof of concept" to help secure funding from potential investors. If they ever do make a full length movie Alissa might be too old by then to play the same part.

And HOLY CRAP her eyes Are amazing!.....so are her nose, lips, teeth, hair, shoulders, chin, and that thing b/w her lips and nose.
