Don't know much of this movie only a review by italian movie reviewer...

A classic comedy with Paolo and Simona waiting their 1st son. There's also Betta, sister of Paolo with 2 children and Clauidio their childhood friend. During a dinner they remember their childhood talking about the choice for the name of their 1st son.

Paul Pontecorvo, real estate agent with a ready wit and a habit of mockery, and Simona, aspiring writer's outskirts with the vice of the gaffe, expecting a child. At a dinner, gathering around the table of the future and the future aunt, uncles, Paul communicates with emphasis and conviction, the name chosen for the unborn child. The family, made up of university professors, teachers and musicians lined up on the left, does not react well ahead of that name, a name 'framed' to the right and into a dramatic past for the nation. Debate and exchange of ideas quickly degenerate into a questioning of values, choices and people who do not fail to offend and hurt everyone, without exception. But sometimes love can work miracles and bring order into the chaos of suffering.
It's right Francesco Piccolo, screenwriter of the film with Francesca Archibugi, The name of the child is the Italian version of the French comedy Dinner with friends . The two films, released in the room at a distance of three years, sharing only the starting point of literary, Le prénom, play by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte and theatrical triumph in Paris in the season 2010. The name of a baby on the way , announced at a dinner party, it is the start and the bomb exploding one after the other the social masks of diners. What changes are the living room, converted literally and anthropologically in Italian, and of course the name, inspired by our literature and our history. To confirm it is a good text (drama) that reveals summarily its context.
Less interested in the political clichés and far from the movie theater, Francesca Archibugi realized a comedy 'catchy', an excavation in the past (the seventies), with which the film maintains a dialectical relationship, to question the present and try to imagine a future, 'generated' in the epilogue. If dinner between friends is a divertissement inhabited by bobo and bling-bling, ostentatious and canceled their chatter and an inexhaustible inventory of stereotypes, the name of the child is a vaudeville sociological, because the prose is alternating stanzas sung and known, that plunges into the heart of his characters bringing the film into new territory and bringing it back inside national borders, within our history, our lives full of preconceptions and prejudices.

Actors-authors, Valeria Golino, Luigi Lo Cascio, Rocco Papaleo and Alessandro Gassman contribute to the creation of the film, weaving an emotional tension and aesthetics that reaches its peak on the song "Call me in twenty years." But with them off the field, out of time with respect to the flow of music and consciousness, off the living room and beyond the window, (re) lever Micaela Ramazzotti, actress in purity that in a sincere monologue masks cracks and excessive gestures detected and expanded the limits of credibility of the other protagonists. The sign of the strong acting of Golino, Lo Cascio, Papaleo and Gassmann compares faces and then with the naturalism of Ramazzotti, resisting irreducible, and by the wonderful registry tragic, in the role in which plebeian has blossomed and where Italian cinema compels.
Good (sti) with or without torture, the characters in search of love who live lounge Pontecorvo are basically those who flock always filmography dell'Archibugi, adults and kids who change roles each other ( Mignon Has Come , The Great Pumpkin , The Pear Tree ). A little 'disillusioned and somewhat' defenseless against the world around them, yet taken by the attempt to get rid of a chronic melancholy and ardent, still riding at home or on the streets of Rome, in the worst traffic in the world and in life .

I can confirm this movie as offtopic,3 very short scenes involving young girls,lasting no more than a few seconds,the boy gets more screentime,but even he is secondary to the adults.

No worries,Art you've been breaking records lately,finding possible releases,what i would suggest is when you search FLM for your finds,search emule too,quite a few have already been available on ed2k,theyre your finds and you should be getting the credit for the links as well.
