Storyline

New England, 1630: William and Katherine lead a devout Christian life, homesteading on the edge of an impassible wilderness, with five children. When their newborn son mysteriously vanishes and their crops fail, the family begins to turn on one another. 'The Witch' is a chilling portrait of a family unraveling within their own fears and anxieties, leaving them prey for an inescapable evil.

According to wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anya_Taylor-Joy), the girl was born in 1996/1997. Therefore it seems to be off-topic.

I haven't watched this so I can't judge but before consigning it to Verified Off-Topic, especially since she looks younger than 18, we must ask "Is the character 16 or younger and does she behave like it?" For instance, if the character is supposed to be 15 but looks and acts like she's 20, it's harder to bend the rules but if she's 20 but looks and acts like she's 15 and the character she plays is supposed to be 16 or under, we've let that pass.

Like I said, I can't judge because I haven't watched it. What do the other members think? Leave it here or move to Verified Off-Topic?

Saw this in the cine... This was one movie I was REALLY looking forward to.

Insufferable [despite Anya Taylor-Joy and Ellie Grainger; it's amazing how they can cram 3 hours into 92 minutes] and at times barely audible..

Needless to say [but I will anyway]; very disappointed...
