Well, perhaps some of the characters (Kent at least) would have a "big hair" perm, but only a slightly larger one. Junky side streets in the beginning would be the same, but Kent wouldn't have phoned Thomas, he would have just gone straight to the door. There might have been more muppets than what we got already, maybe a couple custom-made live action ones. Someone might have sported a radical jacket?

I was also thinking the swimming scene would have involved the girl being in just panties, and i think we would have seen a lot more of her during the scene in the changing room
