Country Justice AKA Family Rescue (1997)

http://imdb.com/title/tt0118891/

Please post here if this movie becomes available, not worth the purchase though. The scene where the guy gets Rachael Leigh Cook drunk is so cool. I just want to see Rachel again in that black dress :P

thanks, Rich :)

Hmmm... The name 'Family Rescue' rings a bell... I think I have the DVD around here somewhere.

George C. Scott on the rampage again, though not near as brutal as 'Rage' or 'Hardcore'...

Been awhile since I've seen it, but Rachael Leigh Cook [at 17 or 18] in a [snip, snip, snip] little black dress AND getting drunk sounds like a good way to get the juices flowing again! :drool

Must've missed the original post AND the bumps through the years... ;)

kev.

Since the last couple of days have seen a burst of releases, I am hoping this one gets lost :) This is a lousy Lifetime cable TV movie. Utterly predictable. Lots of plot holes and lack of character development. Not recommended by me. If you are a collector of Rachel Leigh Cook or George C. Scott movies you probably want this, they aren't bad but didn't have much to work with in their parts. Ally Sheedy is pretty bad. This movie might fall into the 'so bad it's good' category. Nice West Virginia scenery.

The DVD I ripped this from was released under the title 'Family Rescue'. I can only assume they were hoping people would buy it because they didn't connect it with the original title.

Here is a clip of the scene Rich wanted to see, where 15 year old Emma's (Rachel Leigh Cook) Mom's friend gets her drunk and rapes her.

I agree, very much run-of-the-mill (it is a TV movie!), but Rachel Leigh Cook is stunning, especially in that black dress :drool :heart

thanks FLL! :bigups

Loved her in this movie, she was very beautiful, although it was a disturbing topic. A more light-hearted movie with her in is Carpool, it's a great little Sunday afternoon movie with some funny moments  And also Rachel in knee high socks  8-)

 :heart

I think it may be worth a REQ / REL here, but she doesn't have that much screentime
