The love of an enchanted young girl brings wonder and healing to a broken family. On the run from her mysterious past and guided by a fairy that only she can see, Abby sparks a daisy chain of compassion, bringing joy and music back into the family. 'The Storyteller' is a powerful exploration of reality and the true meaning of family.
100 % cuteness!! :heart

... and just a very beautiful movie.

Looks like a cute and easy movie. I happened across it while browsing through tubi. Streamable here:

I'll be happy when Family Central STOPS doing AI for their video thumbnails

This is a great movie though

Well, there is a long tradition of drawn advertising for live action movies. I also have a preference for the art that has been sweated over by a human. I do not see AI being stopped anywhere anytime soon, and our only advantage so far is our robot overlords have not figured out how to supply their own electricity and they can still be unplugged if we are motivated enough. (I think "The Matrix" had a fanciful idea about that.)

The problem I'm having is.. it can be misleading

Like for example, the child in the screenshot and the child in the actual movie does not look alike at all

Yes. Sometimes a good human artist can make a good drawn version of a human... although mediocre artists still make mediocre pictures. I am not as impressed by computer artists. That one is OK for a cartoon but it seems to be the result of the instruction "give me a picture of a little girl and a fairy". The actual person it was supposed to represent does not really seem to be a consideration, does it?

I agree with that, I've seen a lot of preview images like this even worst and they're just there to get you to click and play, but the scenes or characters in the preview images won't be in the movie at all. It's annoying.

But this movie is great, and it's definitely a cute little gift.
