The classic story of Peter Pan is wildly reimagined in this ragtag epic from Benh Zeitlin, director of BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD [ https://www.first-loves.com/forums/v ... THERN+WILD ]. Lost on a mysterious island where aging and time have come unglued, Wendy must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up.
I'm really looking forward to this film, despite it being trashed by the critics.
The director was the 'Indy Darling' [no reference to Wendy's maiden name... ] after his first film. THIS film apparently turned out to be a bit disappointing for those looking for another 'Beasts of the Southern Wild'. My hopes is that they are judging the technical aspects of his filmmaking and that the charm of the kids will carry the film for me..
Thanks again for bringing it here, ghost!
kev.

Fun Fact: This movie took about 8 years to make
That's a long time to work on a movie
Anyway, I definitely recommend this movie
For Devin France very first movie, she did an outstanding job as Wendy imo
