Pix:*A young girl [known as Little Red] sets off on a secret trip but is followed by a prowler who has a taste for young girls like her.
*This modern retelling wastes no time expressing Little Red's adventurous spirit. She ditches her family, hops a plane to Florida and charts her own course with her own rules – an attitude that interested the then 12-year-old Hannah Obst.
*This film is a dark contemporary make of the classic tale 'Little Red Riding Hood'. A young runaway girl travels across the country to meet her grandmother. However, little does she know that something dark and beastly is stalking her. The young girl realises that she is not only fleeing from her past, but something more than that. She struggles to survive and save herself across her journey.

Just finished watching this on Amazon Prime. I actually like it and was drawn to 'Little Red's character despite her looking older than her stated age of '11 years old'. In actuality
Hannah Obst was 12 when she signed on and 13 when actual filming started in 2009.I tried to find pictures of her in her bathing suit on the beach as you can tell from the shape of her hips [very narrow] that she's still in her adolescence.. There's other moments also when her youthfulness shines through..
The actor who plays the 'wolf' is VERY creepy, yet believable in his approach. Sly and clever at first, then becoming desperate as he sees her getting away...
