I am sorry, but your release is not the movie we are looking for.
It is just an episode of the german "Tatort" series. :(

I moved this thread to REQ.

Thanks Nasuada! Great find.

I wish I understood German as there's a LOT going on all over the place with this movie, but at the heart you can see the stress that living with a 'challenged' child puts on a family. Yet through it all, at least with the families portrayed here, because of their love for their children they work to find a community where their children can be with similar kids to make their lives as 'normal' as possible.

I'd love to learn a little of the back story as the actress who portrayed Pauline is actually the daughter of the actress who played her mom and the brother is actually her brother. Most definitely a family affair.

Marlene Beilharz I'm sure is really afflicted with the handicap that she portrayed in the film as she was AMAZING... Ripped my heart right out a few times just watching her interact with family, friends and teachers... :heart

Two scenes actually had me in tears: One; where little Pauline was 'swimming' wrapped on the back of her coach and: Two; at the end where Pauline, her brother and the goth lady that seemed to be trying to break up her parents were all singing the song.. :heart :heart

I loved the few times when Pauline would smile.. :heart

(Too bad Triela didn't get along better here, this was actually a nice little addition to FLM.. :| )

Thanks again Nasuada for finding it. Here's the link:
