Hi,

have you downloaded emule from it's homepage?

http://www.emule-project.net

http://prdownloads.sf.net/emule/eMule0. ... taller.exe

Just install, and hit Connect. Clicking on a link will add it to emule ;)

If that doesn't work it could be your firewall, try Sygate Personal Firewall available here...

Hope this helps ;)

Yes, that speed can be usual for one file (usually 2-12kbs), the trick is to download multiple files at once ~50 files works well. The time it will take for a download to complete depends on how many people are sharing it. For blockbusters with 500+ people sharing it will probably only take a couple of days (you might download 3kbs from 20 people at once), but for files with lesser sources it usually takes 1-2 weeks so patience is needed ;)

Some basic hints:
- use the server which has most users and files, in this case RAZORBACK
- configure your firewall to not obtain a "low id" (you'll see if you got one when you connect to a server)
- use DSL with flatrate (with standard DSL, means 1024k down/128k up (at least in Germany) set upload to 10k or 12k)
- share as many files as you can, it will bring you hash points -> the more hash points, the faster the downloads
- use a good !! client like eMulePlus or a mod of eMulePlus (I use eMule 0.44b Pawcio 5.15f, this is a mod by Pawcio with bandwidth control)
- have many downloads, because only a few files will bring only a little download speed (not exactly sure why)
- and: be patient

Shareaza is an alternative, but not as good as eMule. If you want fast downloads then use Torrent, but there ain't many torrent files. eMule or eDonkey has the biggest archive of files ever.

I wouldn't recommend doing that as files of ~movie size may be checked, and I.P.'s are logged. Just a thought ;)

Well, certainly not, because the movies you mean ARE no DVDs.
But many movies are also available as DVD, if you like to download 4.3GB.... For this, better use usenet.
