I was yesterday in the ARD Mediathek and was surprised, how much GL related movies they have...

1. Das laute Haus (Short) from Netherland. Recorded with German language (until May 13. 2022)

For ten-year-old Friederike, a world collapses when she learns that her uncle Mike has to leave the GDR. Together with her crew, she develops a machine to beam her uncle back to the East.

3. Quatsch und die Nasenbärenbande (until Nov. 28. 21)
In his grotesque film, director Veit Helmer repeatedly takes aim at our society. For children, this film offers great anarchic fun between Pippi Longstocking and the Little Rascals. For the older ones, "Quatsch" is an entertaining satire about daily norms and constraints.

4. Jamils Schwester (until Dec. 14. 21)
Six-year-old Jamil lives in a Bashkir village at the end of World War II. When his mother brings the quiet Oksana, his life changes. He looks after Oksana like a sister.

Hey, I thought this looked familiar! It is the German dubbed (and subbed) version of the Russian / Ukrainian film "Sestrenka", released here in original language with English subtitles: [REL] Sestrenka (2019)

Very good movie, I recommend it to any who have not seen it.

OMG. I did not noticed, that this movie is from russia. With your linked post I noticed, that the girl is the adorable marta timofeeva. What a luck to get that movie in a german version

Wow, you remember her name. I just recognized the faces of the children. When a Google search of "Jamils Schwester IMDB" led to "Sestrenka", I thought I had better check FLM again!
