So i came across this movie and for some time i wanted to contribute to this community, haven´t seen this one, i just got it, the plot looks pretty simple: A soon to be divorced Beverly Hills socialite is determined to prove to her husband and herself that she can finish what she starts out to do, by becoming a den mother to a troop of Beverly Hills Girl Scouts.

Wow, this one really takes me back. Thank you, cabraass! I will watch this again.

Checking out IMDB shows me that I actually know some of the young girl actresses. Here is some trivia that may be of interest.
Carla Gugino, who played "Chica", turned 16 during the production, so she was much older and quite a bit taller than the other girls. You can often see tricks being employed to mask the height difference. She's in the back row and slouching during the dance numbers. In the scene where they're sitting on the floor in the living room for their troop meeting, the girls around her are sitting up on pillows.
and
In order to improve her chances of getting her part, Carla Gugino lied about her age, claiming to be 14 when she was actually 16. After 3 weeks into the shoot she divulged her real age to the director, by which time it was already too late to replace her.
Let us assume for argument's sake that the information at IMDB is correct.

Carla Gugino was born August 29, 1971. So she turned 16 on August 29, 1987 either during production or immediately before. The movie was released 24 March 1989, which is 19 months later when she was 17½ years old.

So she lied about her age (16) to make herself seem younger (14), the truth did eventually come out, AND there was apparently a delay from filming start to release date when she was even older (17 going on 18). ALL of these are points that various FLM members have made in an ongoing discussion in another thread recently. Guys, you are ALL correct in your arguments! I found it interesting that this one film supports most everything you say.

I find it funny that we keep finding actual journalism on Cracked. Not Watergate-level stuff, sure, but I grew up reading Mad and Cracked magazines, which were strictly silly humor for juveniles. (I sold them all back in the 80's at a garage sale for cheap. They would probably be worth much more now to collectors on eBay. Oh well. I save too much junk as it is.)

Whatever your motivations for downloading it, I got it because I wanted some light entertainment that would make me smile and not tax my brain too much. It did the trick! Thank you much.
