I'm not very much in Christmas movies, but I liked this one (with its british humour):

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4591840/
Noelle's born on Christmas with the magical ability to make people stop fighting. Her dad's workplace has problems and has to sell. The only buyer is evil.

I'm not much into Christmas movies either, but I'll definitely bite for this one. Thanks ghost. I still have "Jingle All the Way" with Schwarzenegger and SInbad, and "Ernest Saves Christmas" with Jim Varney to watch, but I think I can squeeze this on in before the big day. :D

Yup. It makes sense to watch it before X-mas. ;)

Won't be weird if you move to the land down under ;)

Since Christmas happens during the Summer here

Anyway, this looks like a fun Xmas movie

Don't tempt me, mate. I sunburn easily and would not survive the desert regions of The Outback, as appealing as the population density may be.

But technically I should have said "in July or August" not so much because of the weather but because of the time separation from the actual holiday. The rampant commercialism of the Christmas season shoved on me in October,November,December makes me sick and I need time to recover. Half a year later I can celebrate.
